This is not a political blog but I had to exercise my right to free speech and speak out about the bullying from hackers on Americans.

I would have never seen the movie The Interview. It looked really stupid and considering how much movies cost these days I wouldn’t want to waste my money. But my freedom to choose what movie I want to see was taken away by terrorists and people who gave in to them.

The Guardians of Peace – obviously this name is an oxymoron – sent out a threatening message on Tuesday. Here’s the full message found on Variety:

We will clearly show it to you at the very time and places “The Interview” be shown, including the premiere, how bitter fate those who seek fun in terror should be doomed to.
Soon all the world will see what an awful movie Sony Pictures Entertainment has made.
The world will be full of fear.
Remember the 11th of September 2001.
We recommend you to keep yourself distant from the places at that time.
(If your house is nearby, you’d better leave.)
Whatever comes in the coming days is called by the greed of Sony Pictures Entertainment.
All the world will denounce the SONY.

Overlooking the grammar, there are several problems I found in this threat.

“We will clearly show it to you at the very time and places “The Interview” be shown” – A special screening of the film in Los Angeles happened last week without any problems.

“Those who seek fun in terror…” – Well, isn’t that the pot calling the kettle black.

“an awful movie Sony Pictures Entertainment has made” – Come on, like this movie is the worst movie ever made about horrible dictators.

“The world will be full of fear.” – Now you’re just pissing us off.

“the greed of Sony Pictures Entertainment” – This is not a Sony attribute it’s a human one.

It’s time for Sony to American-up and reverse their decision and release the movie for FREE in some other form.

These terrorists threaten us with our greatest fear – more terrorist attacks on U.S. soil. This is not the end. They will not stop; they will keep threatening and dictating.

Now don’t get me wrong, I completely understand why Sony and the movie theaters have decided not to show the movie. I understand the blame and guilt they would take if something did happen or the possibility that no one would see any movie on Christmas day. I understand it, I just don’t like it.

I will go see a movie of my choice on Christmas Day. I will not live in fear but I will live with buttered popcorn in my hands, a smile on my face and freedom in my heart.
